Sample DJ contract clause: sound limiters
Many venues use a sound limiter that cuts power if volume goes over the venue's limit. The Entertainer will work within the venue's limit. The Couple should check with the venue about any limits and let the Entertainer know in advance. We are not responsible for the performance being quieter than you would like because of venue limits, and the fee is not reduced for this. The Entertainer will follow reasonable instructions from the venue on volume.

Wedding DJ contract questions.
What should a DJ contract include?
The date, venue and set times, breaks, the fee and deposit, overtime rates, equipment and power needs, sound limiters, song requests and a do-not-play list, illness and backup arrangements, and cancellation terms.
Is there a sample DJ contract clause I can read?
Yes — the sound limiter clause above is copied from the DJ and Entertainment Performance Terms in the pack. It sets expectations before the night, so a volume cut-off is not a complaint afterwards.
Who pays for music licences at a wedding?
The venue is usually responsible for music licences; confirm with your venue. The performance terms include wording on this so the couple know to check.
