What should a wedding supplier contract include?
The date, venue and times, your services and delivery timescales, the fee, deposit and balance date, postponement and cancellation terms, what happens if you cannot attend, the couple's responsibilities and your insurance.
What if a couple postpones the wedding?
The Deposit, Postponement and Cancellation Policy lets you move the booking to a new date where you are free, and says how the deposit and any price change are handled if you are not.
Do couples get 14 days to cancel?
If the booking is made away from your business premises — at a wedding fair or in the couple's home, for example — it may be an off-premises contract with a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The booking agreement includes a note on this.
Can I use the photos and videos for my portfolio?
Only with the right permission. The Photo and Video Usage Consent form lets couples choose each use — website, social media, awards, print — and opt guests or children out.
